His story begins on May 3, 1985 in Phoenix AZ. Robert Louis Carr III, better known as Judge, started rhyming and learning about poetry, hip hop, R&B and other musical genres in the seventh grade. This gave him the outlet he needed after attending numerous elementary schools and growing up on the South Side of Phoenix.
During his freshman year at South Mountain High School he entered a recording studio for the first time. It was during these sessions that he developed his lyrics and delivery. Judge partnered up with a local DJ and started organizing local events and performing at local shows. Judge and his crew known as A-zillaz were quickly making their mark on the Phoenix music scene. The buzz surrounding Judge was growing rapidly which led to the independent release of his Mix-tape “Street Hits: Volume 1.”
Judge was busy recording new music when he came across a flyer for the Hypocalypto Records “Chosen One” competition. The combination of his lyrics and high energy performance quickly made him a stand out in the contest. Judge beat out over 100 local artists to become “The Chosen One.” On Amare Stoudemires label. JUDGE opened shows for a numerous amount of mainstream artist Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz, YG, Ricky Rozay Plies and under ground artist as well. He scored his first song on Movie 43 with actress Halle Berry “Retard Money” & created the number one Stat and Melo anthem that still plays in Madison Square Garden..
After completing his deal with Hypocalypto Records Judge is currently still recording records and performing all over the US, He has a education in music, with the conservatory of recording arts & science. Judge is also Protools certified and can run a API or SSL bored on his own & is familiar with the differences between analog and digital sound.. He will NOT QUIT until his mission is complete In todays MUSIC BUSINESS!
